In centuries past, treasure-seeking pirates and ambitious explorers have bared witness to the striking Cape Peninsula, with Cape Agulhas being the southern most tip. However, Cape Point and The Cape of Good Hope are much more accessible to both ambitious hikers and relaxed strollers, and with such awe-inspiring views you should double check that the camera is packed! This western coastal route has an abundance of indigenous fynbos and wildlife, and a favourite stop is in naval history-rich Simon’s Town; home to the animated Jackass Penguins, who strut their stuff on the popular Boulders Beach.
